Summer School Handbooks
GHS Summer School Handbooks
The 2015 Summer Driver’s Ed/Consumer Ed Handbook, and the 2015 GHS Summer School Handbook are now available. Please note that the first semester of summer school (June 8 - July 1) will be held at Glenwood Middle School, due to construction at GHS. Second semester (July 8 – 31) will be held at the high school.

Event Rescheduled to May 2

Glenwood High School Key Club will once again be hosting its annual Community Recycling Day on Saturday May 2, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the west parking lot of the high school.

However, the Chatham Kiwanis and American Legion Mostaccioli dinner fundraiser will still be held at the Chatham American Legion on April 25 (206 W. Chestnut) to benefit the Honor Flight - 4 to 7 p.m.

Order Avanti's Famous GondolasTM &
Fresh Baked Bread

Help support the GHS Class of 2018 by ordering fresh-baked Italian bread sandwiches (Gondola) and fresh-baked bread from the popular Avanti’s restaurant.  Gondolas are $7 and loaves of bread are $2.  Orders are due by May 8th.  Pick up will take place at Glenwood High School on May 13th from 10:30 a.m. -1 p.m. and 3 - 4:30 p.m.  Further information can be found on the order form.

Choral News
GHS Titan Fever & Fusion Jazz Dessert Theater May 2
The community is invited to enjoy an evening of excellent musical entertainment at the annual GHS Dessert Theater on Saturday, May 2 at 7 p.m. in the Glenwood High School Auditorium. This special fundraiser for the GHS vocal program features the Titan Fever Show Choir and the Fusion Jazz Choir. Tickets will be available at the door for $5.

In addition to new song-and-dance sets by the award-winning Titan Fever Show Choir, the concert includes vocal and dance solos and ensembles presented by GHS students, and the complex harmonies of Fusion Jazz. During intermission, there will be a large selection of desserts, as well as coffee and beverages.

Semester Exam Schedule
Final exams for the first semester at GHS are scheduled for May 28 - June 2.  Students will follow the schedule below:

Mark your calendars - Parade of Pigs is Back!

BCEF's Parade of Pigs Fundraiser Coming in May

The Ball-Chatham Educational Foundation's spring fundraiser aims to help enrich the creativity and innovative potential of our students by collecting donations in piggy banks specially painted by some of the district’s most talented artists! Monies raised will help fund each school's art program.  The ceramic pigs are now placed at the host sites until May 22nd to collect donations from our generous community. The host sites are: 


  • Island Bay Yacht Club
  • Chatham Library
  • INB-Chatham
  • UCB-Chatham
  • BOS-Chatham
  • County Market-Chatham
  • Powerworks Fitness
  • Edgar's Coffee House
  • Casey's General Store, and
  • All Ball-Chatham schools
On May 29th, the banks will be auctioned off at a cookout on the patio at Island Bay Yacht Club. 

This year's sponsors are: O'Shea Builders; Maddox Dentistry; Shelley Ebener; Jane Hay Sales & Staging; Ed Clark Photography; Chris and Joan Parks; Dr. Sarah Fowler & Chris Chambers; Formea Insurance Group; Steven Koch, CFP, Ameriprise Financial Services; and Kevin Floyd, DDS. Your Help is Needed for After Prom!
Help create a wonderful memory for our children by donating your time, talents and resources! This event is sponsored and organized by the GHS PTO, and your contributions are essential to providing a safe, fun-filled night. All GHS juniors and seniors, and their guests are invited to After Prom beginning at 11 p.m., May 16 and ending at 4 a.m., May 17. Click here for more details on how you can help!

Athletic Booster Golf Outing May 31
Glenwood Athletic Booster Golf Outing May 31
The Glenwood Athletic Boosters invite everyone to participate in their annual golf outing May 31 at Piper Glen Golf Course. Please plan to arrive by 11:30 a.m. for registration and lunch. Shotgun start at 1 p.m. $100 per golfer includes: 18 holes with cart; lunch; two on-course beverage and game areas; dinner and prizes. Checks should be made payable to the Glenwood Athletic Boosters. Registration form and payment, due by April 30, can be returned to the high school Athletics Office, or mailed to GHS, 1501 E. Plummer in Chatham. 

January 21 - Operation Prom Dress
Operation Prom Dress is Underway
Do you have gently used prom dresses hanging in your closet? Glenwood High School is looking for prom dresses to donate to students.  Last year, approximately 15 dresses were given to students from GHS and also surrounding districts.  Please consider supporting our students by donating your used prom dresses.  Please contact Pat Scott or Lisa Majka at 483-2424 for more information or to donate a dress.
